This hospital is neither immune to the risk of patient fall, nor do we have measures put in place to address this issue effectively. My purpose, therefore, is to come up with ways of reducing incidences of patient falls and injury to improve the quality of patient care.

The targeted population is all the patients under our hospital management, including those visiting and leaving the facility on a daily basis.

Taking the initiative to minimize or prevent patent falls is fundamental (Horová et al., 2018). It will guarantee patient safety from injuries associated with falls. For instance, guarding a patient against falling may necessitate the caregiver to touch the patient inappropriately; this may be embarrassing for both the patient and the caregiver. Lack of multidisciplinary care teams and low staffing can pose a significant challenge in a healthcare facility where a patient falls are frequent (Horová et al., 2018). Above all, with the increase of the aging population, we expect more falls in the coming years; hence we have to find a solution now.
